The Passion of The Christ – Best Scene Makes You Cry

Actually, this scene is more than what most people see. During the time of Jesus, tables were very low and typically a person would sit on the floor reclining sideways as he or she ate on the table. So when Mary saw the table, she could not see how it could practically be of any use. Mel Gibson was trying to portray that Jesus, though he was living in the New Testament era, is a being that transcends time and space,  He is deity and thus He knew how table would look like in the future. The scene symbolizes His deity and thus His omniscience. It’s not just a beautiful scene, it is very symbolic and powerful. Mel Gibson did his research well.

I love this because I can imagine Jesus was a very humorous guy, and imagine owning dining furniture made by Jesus 🙂 This scene usually makes me cry. I want to see Jesus so bad.
